10 Weeks of Fun & Discovery

Primary

Ages 3-6 Years Old (includes those students going into Kindergarten)

We aim to capture campers’ imaginations by preparing experiences that spark moments of wonder. We will explore nature through weekly walks to the park.

Elementary

Ages 6-12 years old (includes those students going into 1st grade)

Campers will experience the outdoor spaces of our beautiful Black Hills including hiking and sightseeing. We will explore the Black Hills with one field trip per week.

Summer Camp Extended Hours

The CHM camp activities are from 8am-3pm each day. You can drop off and pick up at those times. We are also offering extended care for those who need it. Our extended care hours are from 7:30-8am and 3-5:30pm. The weekly rate of camp is the same whichever option you choose. For staffing and planning purposes, we will send out a survey asking you to indicate if you will be utilizing the aftercare hours (3-5:30pm).

Summer Camp Rates

$275 per week which includes snack and one field trip (elementary) per week. Enroll by the week or if you enroll for all 10 weeks, you receive a $100 discount.

Summer Camp Terms & Conditions

Summer Camp Fees are paid upon enrollment and are non-refundable.

If you are enrolling in all 10 Weeks of CHM Summer Camp from June 2-Aug 15 (no camp 4th of July Week June 30-July4). You will receive a $100 discount on your first invoice if paying in full or your final invoice if making payments.

Your child will be enrolled in the camp for their age or grade. The youngest child accepted at the CHM Primary camp must be 3 years old and potty trained. The youngest child enrolled at the Elementary Camp must be entering 1st Grade in the fall. The oldest child at the Elementary Camp must be entering 6th Grade in the fall.

Camp will take place at the CHM Elementary Campus - 3520 W Main St Rapid City, SD 57702.

I agree to pack a hearty and nutritious lunch for my child each day. I agree not to pack candy or beverages other than water. Snack will be provided by the school.

For the elementary camp, I give my consent to have my child transported for field trips. If my child requires a safety seat other than a backless booster or a standard car seat, I agree to leave my child’s safety seat at school that day. The teacher will email families each week letting them know the field trip destination and any other additional instructions. Parents are welcome to come along as chaperones on field trips.

If the camp week has less than 10 students enrolled, it may be cancelled.

Regular size backpack
Extra set of clothes
(Primary Camp) small pillow and blanket for rest time (sent home on Friday)
Slippers (sent home on Friday)
Healthy, hearty lunch (in eco-friendly packaging) and cloth napkin (see the LUNCH section below).
Water bottle (every day!) to stay hydrated (please label)!
Comfortable, supportive shoes that can get dirty. For safety reasons, we request no flip-flops.
Sunscreen (please see the SUNSCREEN section below).
Hats and/or sunglasses (please label).
Weather permitting, we will have a water days in which kids can cool off in the sprinkler and play water-based games. On these days, please bring a towel, swimsuit and water shoes (please label). Your teacher will let you know in advance.
