Black Hills Basecamp
Two sessions offered this Fall 2026!
Cost is $249 per session
6 weeks of climbing classes on Wednesdays and access to the gym the rest of the week to come climb on your own! Our experienced coaches will teach skills and lead games to get your climber moving! For ages 6-12. Climbing shoes included!
Session 1: September 23-October 28
Session 2: November 4-December 16 (no class the week of thanksgiving November 25th)
Transportation from school to Basecamp included. Students will be picked up at 4:30pm by parent or authorized pick up at Basecamp located at 2461 Seger Drive, Rapid City. Questions can be emailed to Laura at [email protected].

After School Violin Pod
Offered by Ms. Abigail Poirier at the school for ages 6-12 years old
About the teacher: During her 5-year tenure with the Golden Isles Youth Orchestra, Abigail Poirier guided thousands of elementary students from never having touched a violin to playing together with ease and enjoyment. She has loved the last two years of bringing the joy of violin to students at Children's House Montessori and looks forward to another exciting year!

Violin pod (beginners)
2:30-3:10 Thursdays
10/1-12/10 on school days only (8 classes)
No class on 10/29, 11/19, and 11/26
$80 total for the classes only, $110 total for classes + violin rental
Students will learn the parts and care of the violin, proper playing technique, and 2-3 songs. The final class will conclude with a short "concert" that includes students playing together in harmony.
Open to any lower or upper elementary student that is interested, no experience necessary.
Group strings (anyone with prior experience)
3:15-4:05 Thursdays
9/24-12/17 on school days only (10 classes)
No class on 10/29, 11/19, and 11/26
$100 total for the classes, $140 total for classes + violin rental
We will continue to build on the skills learned last year, focusing on playing together in harmony and building a solid foundation of music knowledge. And, as always, we will be sure to have plenty of fun, too!

Payment by check, cash, Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle will be due at the first day of class. If requesting violin rental, please include your child's height and arm length, so we can reserve the right size of violin for them.
